UC-GO (University of California, Global Operations) is a pilot project, developed through a multi-campus consortium and in collaboration with UC Office of the President (UCOP), that aims to develop centralized resources to support global programs by all members of the UC community. UC-GO endeavours to position the University of California as a leader in global innovation and discovery, and to support the vision of a UC system that works as one university, propelled by the power and promise of its ten campuses. The site leverages expertise from across the state wide system to create a go-to resource for international researchers and students, allowing the UC system to build off of its combined expertise. UC-GO was initially spearheaded by UCSF, UC Davis, UCLA Global Health Programs, and UC Global Health Institute.
The site is designed to provide easily accessible information and tools on topics such as travel registration; tips for international travel; logistical and compliance issues related to clinical work, implementing projects and conducting research abroad. This site is a constant work in progress and will be updated as new policies, procedures, guidelines and best practices are developed across the UC system.
